Sage Employee Benefits boosts financial wellbeing across multiple businesses


Wright & Co. Partnership Ltd. delivers accountancy solutions to businesses of all sizes and sectors.  A team that, between them, offers over 50 years of experience in all areas of accountancy including Accountancy & Tax, VAT, Payroll, bookkeeping, Audit and much more. The company strives to exceed expectations by offering bespoke financial strategies, regulatory compliance, and innovative tax planning.

Gerry Trapani, who was previously an employee at Wright & Co., left to set up his own accountancy business in August 2022 and is now a key consultant to the practice, and their Sage specialist. Gerry has worked with Sage for many years and, when offered the opportunity to trial Sage Employee Benefits decided it was the right choice not only for his own company but for Wright & Co. too.


Both companies started their free trials in April 2023. With a 100% activation rate, they have collectively saved well over £600. This is an impressive achievement with a user base of just 17 made up of 13 staff and 4 household partner accounts.

Initially, it was his previous experience with many Sage products that attracted Gerry to trial Sage Employee Benefits, and the discounts immediately became very popular with both Gerry and the wider teams. Being an accountant Gerry finds the data and analysis key and regularly checks in to see how the product is benefiting his staff, and his colleagues at Wright & Co.

Working in partnership with his Sage Employee Benefits dedicated Account Manager – Gemma – they have achieved an excellent engagement and savings rate.  Gerry pointed out “Having one key contact has been invaluable, Gemma has helped me really embed the product with both teams.”

Wright & Co display several posters including discounts, gym, and wellbeing.  However, word-of-mouth has been key, with the team often pointing out to their colleagues the savings they have made.  Partner accounts have proven popular too, and the benefits have even caused annoyance in some households when partners have spent a large amount in shops like B&Q and Argos and forgot to use Sage!

Of course, being accountants, they also spotted the opportunity to use the platform for relevant business purchases and office supplies.

To date, no staff have had a need for the wellbeing services (which is good news). Gerry is now exploring the Reward & Recognition function to boost employee engagement and motivation. One of the USPs of Sage Employee Benefits is that savings on Rewards are passed back to the organisation to really boost the funds available to pass to staff.
